Despite His Level Appearing Great, Mpanzu Says He’s Still Not His Strength

Simba striker Elie Mpanzu, despite showing excellent form, has said he is still at 70 percent of his potential in the Reds of Msimbazi squad.

Mpanzu joined Simba in the limited registration window and has started playing matches in the second round of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League, where he has been seen to do well.

Speaking about his form, Mpanzu said he is happy with his contribution to the team but has not yet shown all his potential.

“I am happy to see Simba doing well and being part of the players who contribute to the team, I have not yet reached 100 percent of my potential, I am at 70%, I believe if I continue to get opportunities, I will reach the level I want,” he said.

In addition, Mpanzu said he is confident that Simba will do well in the remaining games, as their goal is to successfully complete the championship campaign.

He also spoke about the draw they got against Azam FC, saying it was a blow to them, but now they are preparing for the next game against Coastal Union.

“The draw against Azam FC hurt us, but we are moving forward. Now we are planning to ensure we get three points against Coastal Union,” said Mpanzu.

Simba will be away to Coastal Union in a match to be played on Saturday, March 8, at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
