Yanga plans to take revenge on Mkapa

Yanga’s leadership has made it clear that heading into the climax of Citizens’ Week on March 4, 2025, they will take revenge on their traditional rival Simba by showing their size by filling the Mkapa Stadium.

It is clear that March 3, 2025 was Simba Day where Simba fans turned out in large numbers and early before the event it was announced that all tickets had been sold out so it was a Full House at Mkapa Stadium.

After the Simba concert ended with various entertainment from artists including King Kiba, Joh Makini, an international friendly match against APR where Simba won 2-0 with goals scored by Deborah Fernandes and Edwin Balua today is the climax of Citizens’ Week.

Ali Kamwe, Yanga’s Information and Communications Department Manager on the night of March 4, 2025 was at Mkapa Stadium and stated that they are going to show the true meaning of Full House.

“They started it themselves, now we are going to finish it, we want to set a record when the gates of Mkapa Stadium are closed at noon because we have seen our colleagues until 22:00, the gates were still open, but we are going to set a record where we will also use Uhuru Stadium.”

During Citizens’ Week, Yanga is expected to play an international friendly against the Red Arrows, who are the Kagame Cup champions.
